Our Value Statement
From our inception in 1980 as the “Fairfield Metropolitan Housing Authority”, we have strived to put our residents at the forefront of our efforts. It is this dedication to our most important resource – people – that makes what we do so worthwhile and rewarding. We are proud to bridge the gap to affordable housing for families and individuals who need it. We also seek to maintain strong, working relationships with many of our community resources and institutions. We believe that these Community Partnerships are very important in our functioning as a committed member of the greater community. Through it all, our success continues to be based on the dedication of our hard working staff and our residents who continue to embrace a commitment to changing their lives.
Our Mission Statement
The Fairfield Metropolitan Housing Authority is dedicated to serving the needs of low and moderate income families in Fairfield County and to:
• increase the availability of decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable housing;
• ensure accessibility and equal opportunity in housing;
• promote self-sufficiency and asset development of families;
• take a leading role in our community to improve quality of life and economic vitality in cooperation with other agencies, developers, and individuals.
Our Vision
The Fairfield Metropolitan Housing Authority shall continue to be recognized for creatively seeking ways to expand the availability of affordable housing throughout Fairfield County. Advocating on behalf of low-income, elderly, and disabled families, we will continue to strive in our efforts to eliminate homelessness.
